The arrival at the hotel is unforgettable. Under a colossal entrance portico and the sound of the night waves on the background the hotel staff greets us with smiles on the face and flowers in their hands. We were greeted as if we were always there. Refreshing towels with a delicate scent were given to us as well as fresh drinks trying to release all the heat that was attacking our bodies. We were led through an extensive and luxuriant corridor which gave access to the villas. Unfortunately we arrived at night and all we could see and hear were the lights in the mountains by the sea and the sound of the waves slowly dying in the sand. As soon as we got to our villa, at the top of the hill, we were completely stunned.
Bedrooms open directly onto ocean vistas, indoor and outdoor showers and bathtubs, living and dining areas perfect for entertaining or lounging… Hello paradise.
The day was long and all we wanted was to rest and discover all the magnificent views the next morning. Although we woke up with a little sad sky mood, as soon as we opened the windows the real ceased to exist. The views were dazzling, the sea was serene and blue, and on our backs a whole lush green mountain lodged all the villages, as if they were part of it. But the best part was yet to come: a terrace with a private jacuzzi and a space to relax and enjoy the views to the Andaman sea and the shy sun. The breakfast was taken overlooking to one of the most breathtaking pools we have ever seen. A mesmerizing black pool contrasted with slender, green palmtrees all around. Sitting indoors or outdoors, SILK Restaurant & bar with Traditional Thai ingredients offered us authenticity of taste and texture with a touch of contemporary flair and each meal is sure to please. The Spa was one of the best moments of the stay. Certainly a “wow” place where we were transported to a totally different world with a total relaxation of our minds and bodies, but if you prefer, treatments can be taken in the comfort of your private villa or suite.
