“The first time I spent a long time away from home was actually in Seattle. I flew from Melbourne in Australia by myself to the US. I was 13, and I remember it seeming like a pretty cool adventure, though equally pretty scary as I was going away for the first time by myself. The camp was run by Rick Stevenson, a producer and Director who has worked with Robert Redford and was for film makers, actors and songwriters. There were just a small group of us, in the Mountains staying at an awesome cabin on a lake, working on projects, and learning a lot about ourselves and the industry that I want to spend my life working in. It was a great opportunity and I stay in touch with many of the people I met and felt that I really gained a better understanding of how to make myself believable as someone else. It’s a pretty tough thing to do when you are acting, but since then of course I have been away from home quite a bit with auditions and shoots and work, so pretty used to it now. I love travelling, meeting people and experiencing new places and cultures, I realise I am so fortunate to have the opportunity.
“in one year I worked in LA, NEW YORK, TOKYO, MELBOURNE, VANCOUVER, DUBLIN AND LONDON and I am still only just 16 years old.”
I loved Japan, the people, culture , architecture, food and country is just awesome. But there are also so many places that I want to go see, visit and travel to, India is high on my list as I have never been, but there are too many places to list. We actually spent summer last year travelling around Europe on holiday and spent time in France, Spain, Crete, and the Amalfi Coast in Italy- we had an amazing time and ended our trip for two week on a sailing yacht. Travelling also means work for me, both modelling and acting, and last year I flew back and forth across Italy shooting Medici for Netflix, which was awesome, both the job, and the amazing historical locations, I hope you have watched it already but if you haven’t check it out! Home has moved a lot in the last three years, I have grown up in London, Melbourne, Dublin and now we live in Somerset, in the UK so I have been going to school online for the last two years and so home can really be almost the same as being at school, and be pretty boring just sitting at my desk on my laptop. But, home also means family and has always been safe and I am lucky they are hugely supportive of me, also home also means training at the gym, playing my guitar, and early morning swim training, so the routine of normal life, homework is no different to any other guy my age and, of course, Playstation.
I am really looking forward to starting back at regular school for my A levels. Now we have settled in to our new house, and so looking forward to meeting new people and being in the same place for the next few years. I am lucky the school offers A levels over three years if I need to take a bit longer, hopefully due to landing some big acting roles, or campaigns, as my ambition is still to be combine modelling and being an actor, and hopefully a place at Julliard in New York or RADA in London might also be possible in the future, meaning a move away from home again, but of course in an exciting way meaning the next stage in my life.”
