I am a big fan of traveling but the fact that I have to travel for so many hours it scared me a little. There are dozens of airlines providing the most diverse services and rankings are always changing. Services are the most varied and consumers are increasingly demanding. The new generation of travelers does not always look for low cost flights but flights that offer quality and safety. I always said the difference is in the smallest details. Starting just from a simple smile from the team.I looked for a service that I could trust in the next 13 hours of flight and I came across the new offer of Singapore Airlines. The so called “Premium Economy”, a travel class positioned between economy class and business class in terms of price, comfort, and amenities. The flight started in Barcelona on April 9 to Singapore. 13h straight in an Airbus A350-900. I was nervous, I confess. I had never traveled alone for so many hours and I was getting impatient. Boarding was made on time, extremely polite and organized.

The first thing you see is the bright orange pillow contrasting with the gray leatherseat in an exclusive spacious, 2-4-2 cabin. So far so good. The seats were comfortable, clean, everything was in its proper place. I installed myself in my place and in front of me a 13.3-inch HD enabled touchscreen monitor with noise-canceling headphones. I can not ask for more. At least I’d be busy, and very busy, in the next few hours. Although they offer more than 1000 entertainment options you will surely have your favorite, from music to games, movies and series. You could control the system either with a handheld remote control or by using the touch-screen. Each seat has a foot rest which is below the seat in front except the front row seats where it comes out from the seat you are sitting in. That was my case. One of the best things about this Premium Economy seats: there is room for everything, or at least for almost everything. Bring your water bottle, laptop, headphones and other personal items, they will fit, I can promise. And one thing you can be sure of, I never ran out of battery since I was able to charge my devices all the time through usb doors just next to me, plus a fully adjustable personal reading lamp. We all think books are the best travel companions but with the unbelievable media offer that Singapore has, it becomes difficult to control our desire to see the latest movies or tv series and time literally flies.

Traveling is also about discovering new smells and tastes and it is through food that we often feel emanated by the local culture of our destinations.

The Asian and delicious smells crossed the cabin of the plane and took me on a gastronomic trip. You can start this incredible food journey by reserving your main course from a variety of dishes up to 24 hours before you fly, or if you want to be surprised you can select from three meal choices on board during your flight.Flying Premium economy makes all the difference. Especially when we look for some extra space and comfort to sleep or watch our favorite movie. The crew is extremely well trained and meets the highest requirements on board. Bali has proved to be one of the greatest experiences of my life and much of that journey has begun with the best wings, the wings of Singapore airlines.
