“I cannot foresee the revolution to come through the acts of a college student, nor a tech entrepreneur. the absolute revolution to host our next grand leap as a species will possibly come from a dog, a newborn child, or perhaps it’s happening now? Presented by nature itself, through its violent revolt against the inhabitant masses in continents, our earth has activated its sheer force of seeking balance for its body. The rebel is brewing now, never would they know why; he or she is unaware in what manner they are in fact a rebel. It is a reactionary, instinctive subversion, not a kind that is in fashion, for its taste would cause the great majority to regurgitate. this rebel will not be accepted in the marketplace, for its actions resemble that of someone who understands and embodies their loneliness. This loneliness, anathema to the marketplace, should be where we feel at ease, instead we escape to find comfort in anything that would distract.
We find futile refuge in spaces louder than the voice of our solitude, somewhere where it can eventually drown, but it waits dormant, waiting to speak again in a moment of consciousness.
Once upon a time, we looked up and saw ourselves, there, in the starry night, and everything we saw was an extension of what constitutes the body we occupy, a part of our beings. We are now much closer to each other than ever before, yet further away from ourselves. The rebel to come is brooding, and once a thought of true revolutionary value arises, this rebel will take leisure in languor, and silently keep this revelation to himself, for he knows that the times are for silence, believing and letting the rest go. The rebel to come will not know it, nor claim the title, these Starchildren will simply be reminded of who they are and where they come from, nothing will be the same from that point on. It will not be a matter of dressing for the weather, for it is naked and already dead, already living, as it always has. These Starchildren will be guided by home, this home being something they cannot clearly depict through modern tools of communication. What guides them is as modern as paganism, more advanced than alchemy. We are in much older days now than centuries before.
The new rebel will not need to take sides, let dialectics measure the changing times, the rebel is on his own clock and his own history
These Starchildren will not be afraid, for they have seen it before; this new rebel differentiates North from merit, value from habits. In the end, when the rock we have laboriously pushed up the mountain rolls back down, it is in that walk to the foot of the mountain that this new rebel chokes up in laughter. He is happy to have been here, in futility and much meaning, the very juxtaposing anatomy from which these Starchildren are built upon.”
