Before starting I can easily say: this hotel has the best view on the whole island of Ibiza. Imagine a holiday postcard, painted with petunias and palm trees with Es Vedra in the background. A postcard full of memories of endless days, stories under the stars and a magnetism that only Ibiza can offer. There is Petunia, a tropical paradise that beats any hotel due to its location. Unpretentious, romantic, exotic and with a 5 star staff. Here, smiles are real, time is eternal and palm trees dance in the light wind of late afternoon. An open-air oasis comprising 37 rooms, each unique and authentic in style. Our check-in was quick and friendly and they of- fered a drink by the pool. It could be a scene from a movie where a mysterious love story will unfold with Es Vedra as a witness. Our suite was ready and I couldn’t wait to find out all the details. We walk through small villas, palm trees, petunias and all kinds of exotic vegetation to reach our lovely suite. It was on the first floor of one of the villas. As soon as I opened the door I realised how lucky I was that this was my suite for the next few days. Well, how can I explain this view? A very large living room decorated with unique rustic elements and a balcony that gave us what was, without a doubt, the best view of Ibiza. There it was, immaculate, serene, powerful, magnetic and monumental Es Vedra. I almost felt like it was just me and the rock for a moment. I couldn’t stop looking because the view was unobstructed, I could fly straight to the rock without anything stopping me, seeming so close I could touch it.
” Nothing is obsolete. everything cohabits. the villas are in perfect harmony with the surrounding vegetation making this place so special. So relaxing. “
From this balcony I can almost see the entire Petunia Hotel and its lush gardens full of succulents, cactus and palm trees. The extraordinary care for the gardens is complemented by the surrounding structures. Nothing is obsolete. Everything cohabits. The villas are in perfect harmony with the surrounding vegetation making this place so special. So relaxing. From the balcony I can also hear the sound of cicadas in search of love, the wind among the trees and the laughter of the guests. A faint music plays in the background and leaves me in a state of hypnosis and hap- piness and I don’t need much more to please me. My suite has a living room, a very large bedroom and a bathroom with a huge bath and shower. All 6 windows in this suite create an unbelievable atmosphere: at any time of day, different light scenes are created. The bluish morning light that penetrates the windows and the golden light at the end of the day that leaves us perplexed. What impressed me the most about this suite were the small and varied decoration elements, from clay jars of different colours to the perfectly chosen sofa cushions. Small details that make this place very comfortable and welcoming. I close my eyes and feel like I’m lying on the beach and the gentle waves of the sea touch my feet and rock me into the sunset. From the balcony, the sun warms my body as I wait for the sky to change into reds, pinks and oranges.
A painting for a new postcard. This corner of paradise is located a 10-minute drive from the quaint Sant Josep village, a 5-minute drive from the pic- turesque Cala D’Hort beach cove, a short walk away from the charming Cala Carbo beach cove and only 30 minutes from the airport. Night falls and invites you for a drink before dinner under the golden skies. It’s not worth leaving this little paradise when you have Es Vedra Rooftop with the best view on the island and seasonal cocktails. Petunia offers several options for drinks and snacks as well as dinner. All dining spaces have been carefully designed to blend in with the surrounding envi- ronment, creating an intimate and relaxed atmosphere illuminated by moonlight.
